Prior to receiving training in patent practice (in Munich), he worked as Research assistant at University Duisburg-Essen (Communication systems) and as an R&D engineer in telecommunication engineering at Siemens; he has also worked at a patent law firm (King & Wood Mallesons) in Beijing.
